Beautiful glass bell jar filled with 6 Papilio Blumei butterflies. A unique and beautiful eye-catcher in any interior or collection.

Papilio blumei, the peacock eye or green swallowtail, is a butterfly in the family Papilionidae. It only occurs on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The wingspan is 120-140 mm. The colors on the wings of some of these butterflies are metallic and are especially noticeable when viewed from a particular angle.

Glass dome dimensions: 40 x 23 cm.

Note: The butterflies were not wild caught but bred to make this piece.
